How it works
- 1Pick your level onceSet a comfortable starting volume in the menu. It is 35% until you change it.
- 2Connect your headphonesWhen AirPods or any headphones become your Mac’s sound output, QuietConnect sets your level in about 0.3 seconds, usually before you press play.
- 3Turn it up whenever you likeQuietConnect only picks the starting point. Your volume keys work as usual, and the next connection starts at your level again.

For louder rooms, or when noise cancellation is off.

Above the safe range. Drag past 80 and the slider holds at 70 until you confirm.
Danger
80 and up
QuietConnect saves a level this high only after you say yes.
Zones are approximate. The same percentage is not the same loudness on every pair of headphones.
